Just because we are all staying home, doesn’t mean we can’t be playing from home. We’re excited to have produced, Playing From Home, our concert series to lift up our spirits and raise money for COVID relief efforts in the music industry.
We were stoked to host performances by Nahko, Trevor Hall, Julien Baker, and Austin of Magic Giant. Each of the performances made our days a bit lighter and for a moment felt like we were at a concert with our best friends. These livestream performances raised $18k for MusicCares and the Sweet Relief Musicians Fund, and over 30,000 people tuned in!
We couldn’t end the series with helping out our favorite DIY-venue, 924 Gilman. Since 1986, the Gilman has provided an inclusive, all-ages, and safe(r) venue for emerging and alternative music. It’s legendary history of performances illustrates how these ethos can change the landscape of music. With the help of Epitaph Records and viewers of our livestream festival, we were able to raise over $30k to help keep the venue open.
